A preserved retirement retrospective marking longtime WMRN-AM morning host Jeff Ruth’s final day with WMRN on June 21, 2019. The approximately six-minute reel looks back on humorous and memorable moments from Ruth’s long tenure on the air and was originally published in connection with his retirement. Ruth announced his retirement on April 15, 2019, with his final day set for June 21. By that point, he had completed 40 years at WMRN, becoming one of the station’s most familiar local voices and a central presence in its weekday morning programming. Rather than presenting a complete broadcast, this recording is a produced retrospective assembled from selected moments associated with Ruth’s on-air career. The surviving reel offers a concise sample of the personality-driven style, humor, and local connection that characterized his work at WMRN. This item should not be confused with a full aircheck of Ruth’s final morning show. The WMRN Radio History Archive has not yet located or verified a complete recording of the June 21, 2019 retirement broadcast. The retirement reel is preserved separately as a documented contemporary retrospective. This recording is preserved and presented as part of the WMRN Radio History Archive. Audio quality, production style, pacing, and language reflect the source as originally produced and are retained as part of the historical record.
