Description
This accession documents an original metal folding chair associated with the early WMRN radio studios in Marion, Ohio. The chair dates to approximately the 1940s and was used within the station during its early years of broadcast operation.
Studio furnishings such as folding chairs were commonly used in early radio facilities to accommodate staff, performers, guests, and visitors during live broadcasts and studio sessions. Visible wear on the chair reflects long-term studio use consistent with the station’s operational period.
The chair survives as part of a private family collection associated with the Cole family and is preserved within the WMRN Radio History Archive as a physical artifact representing the working environment of WMRN’s original studio facilities.
