George Joachim was a WMRN station manager during the 1980s. In the station's 67th-anniversary broadcast on December 21, 2007, Joachim recalled changes in WMRN's programming after the 1980 ownership transition, including local news and Morning Magazine. Broadcasting's December 31, 1984 issue named Joachim of WMRN-AM-FM president of the Ohio Radio and Television Broadcasters association. Exact WMRN appointment and departure dates remain unverified.
