WMRN Career
Francis J. Peters was WMRN's chief engineer during the early FM era. An original WMRN-FM verification letter signed by Peters as chief engineer on August 12, 1953 documents the station's first months of FM broadcasting at 106.9 MHz. The 1959 Broadcasting Yearbook and 1964 Radio Annual also list him as chief engineer. The sources do not establish his full dates of service. The relationship between Francis J. Peters and other surviving references to an engineer called 'Joe Peters' requires additional identification research.
