Original Item

WMRN-2026-071 consists of two RCA Victor six-station intercom units formerly used at WMRN Radio in Marion, Ohio. The units are housed in wooden cabinets and contain six station-selection controls, speaker openings, RCA Victor identification plates, control levers and rotary controls.
WMRN-2026-071.1 retains an original paper WMRN intercom directory identifying six stations:
#1 — Art Martin
#2 — Sales Office — Marj Williams
#3 — Control Room
#4 — Program Office — Madge Cooper
#5 — Lobby — Mary Tong
#6 — Secretary — Judy Frazier
The six selector controls on this unit are labeled MGR, SLS, CTL, PD, LBY, and RTM. The rear of the unit contains connection terminals numbered 1 through 6 and an attached electrical cord.

WMRN-2026-071.2 is a second RCA Victor six-station intercom unit associated with the same group. It retains the six selector controls, control lever, rotary control and RCA Victor identification plate, but does not retain the personnel/location labels present on WMRN-2026-071.1.
The two units document WMRN’s internal communications equipment and provide evidence of the physical organization and personnel of the station during their period of use. The exact RCA Victor model, manufacturing date and dates of use at WMRN have not yet been established.
Operational status is unknown. Neither unit has been tested.
