Original Photographs
Two historic aerial photographs documenting the WMRN radio station property at 1330 N. Main Street in Marion, Ohio. The images were supplied by the Marion County Engineer’s Office in response to a WMRN Radio History Archive inquiry seeking historical engineering, site-plan, infrastructure, and development records relating to the station property.
The Engineer’s Office reported that it did not locate site-related documentation for the radio station but provided aerial photographs identified as dating from 1939 and 1946. Together, the photographs provide a rare visual record of the property immediately before WMRN was established and during the station’s early years of operation.
