  Hot Country 107 Promotional Jacket (WMRN-2026-045) is a Promotional Apparel 
associated with WMRN-AM / WMRN-FM, preserved within the WMRN Promotional Apparel
Collection. Dated c.1990s, the item contributes to the documentary record of WMRN
broadcasting history. This jacket represents WMRN-FM’s “Hot Country 107” branding
era, one of several major format and branding identities associated with the station’s
FM operations during the late twentieth century. Promotional apparel such as this
served as a visible extension of station branding during remote broadcasts, community
appearances, concerts, fairs, and promotional events throughout Marion and surrounding
Central Ohio communities.  As one of the earliest documented apparel-related accessions
preserved by the WMRN Radio History Archive, the jacket also reflects the archive’s
expanding effort to preserve not only broadcast recordings and documents, but also
the physical culture and public identity of local radio broadcasting.  The artifact
provides valuable insight into how local radio stations visually marketed themselves
beyond the airwaves during the 1990s era of regional country music broadcasting.

### Historical Significance

 This jacket represents WMRN-FM’s “Hot Country 107” branding era, one of several
