WMRN Morning Personalities Photograph — Jeff Ruth and Charlie Evers (WMRN-AM) with Scott Shawver (WMRN-FM) (Circa 1995)

This photograph captures three prominent WMRN personalities from the mid-1990s: Jeff Ruth and Charlie Evers of WMRN-AM 1490, alongside Scott Shawver of WMRN-FM.

During this period, both Ruth and Evers were associated with morning programming on WMRN-AM, while Shawver served as a morning personality on WMRN-FM. Each contributed to the station’s daily broadcast presence and connection to the Marion, Ohio community.

The image reflects a moment when both the AM and FM sides of WMRN were actively shaping the station’s identity through distinct programming styles and on-air voices.

Photographs such as this document not only individual personalities, but the broader structure of local broadcasting during this era—where AM and FM operations often served different audiences while remaining closely connected.

This photograph is preserved as part of the WMRN Radio History Archive.
