### Title

“Hey Chuck, It’s Charlie” — Charlie Evers Groundhog Day Promotion Photograph (Date
Unknown)

### Description

_Charlie Evers pictured outside the WMRN studios promoting the station’s Groundhog
Day broadcast featuring Buckeye Chuck._

This photograph shows longtime WMRN personality Charlie Evers standing outdoors
near the station’s studios as part of a promotional effort tied to the annual Groundhog
Day broadcast featuring Buckeye Chuck.

Evers was closely associated with WMRN’s coverage of the event, helping to connect
listeners with one of Marion County’s most recognizable traditions. The image reflects
the informal, community-centered nature of the station’s programming, where on-air
personalities regularly engaged with the public beyond the microphone.

Promotional efforts like this helped reinforce WMRN’s role as a local institution,
blending broadcast media with community participation and seasonal events.

This photograph is preserved as part of the WMRN Radio History Archive.
