Description and Identification

The announcer is identified as Paul James in the original listening-page documentation. The recording and production dates remain unknown.

Historical Significance

This promotional announcement documents the stations’ role in circulating local event information and the use of shared community-service programming across WMRN-AM, WMRN-FM, and WYNT-FM.

Provenance

WMRN Archive Collection, as identified in the original Broadcast Archive page. The original donor, acquisition date, physical carrier, and custody history are undocumented.

This accession describes one surviving digital audio object represented by the existing public file. No documented evidence links it to another cataloged source object. The relationship to any original tape or longer recording remains unverified; any subsequently identified derivatives should be associated with this object or its documented parent rather than automatically accessioned separately.

Digitization and Preservation

The existing public MP3 is reused without creating a duplicate audio file. File metadata inspected on September 28, 2026 reports 0:33, 48 kHz, mono, variable bitrate. These are properties of the current access file, not evidence of the original recording or transfer specifications. Original transfer date, equipment, operator, processing history, and preservation-master location are unknown.

Rights and Access

Public listening is available through the existing Broadcast Archive. Copyright ownership, donor permission, and any reuse license are not documented in the reviewed records. Online availability does not establish permission for republication or other reuse; contact the archive about research use. Third-party material may have separate rights.

Catalog History

This recording was first made publicly available through the WMRN Radio History Archive’s Broadcast Archive on August 3, 2026. It was subsequently incorporated into the archive’s formal accession catalog as WMRN-2026-081 on September 28, 2026.

The first-publication date is supported by the original WordPress listening page and its matching Broadcast Archive date label. It is separate from the historical recording date and the creation date of this formal catalog record.
